Learn more about the people behind the books

Established in 2020 as an imprint of Valley Press, Lendal Press is a York-based independent publishing house that specialises in challenging, distinctive fiction and inspirational, life-enhancing non-fiction.

We have published a range of books including dystopian fiction, cookbooks, environmental writing and more! We are always looking for new and exciting writing to add to our ever-growing list and hope to build a catalogue of publications in which there is something for every reader to enjoy!

Our logo is a graphic illustration of Lendal Bridge in York and was designed by our very own Peter Barnfather. Being York-based, we felt that the logo should reflect this. Valley Press is named after Valley Bridge in Scarborough and thus Lendal Bridge provides a link between the two.
